Halloween just wouldn’t be complete without the Monster Bash Halloween Block Party in the Gaslamp. With Halloween falling on a Saturday, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever. The Monster Bash kicks off Saturday night at 6pm and goes until midnight, although I’m sure people will be partying until the wee hours of the night.
This ultimate block party will feature two stages of live entertainment. Three live bands will be performing including: the Disco Pimps, Electric Valentine (Electronica), and No Duh (No Doubt cover band). Eight of Southern California’s hottest DJs will be spinning tunes all night and there will be a killer dance performance to “Thriller” by the Michael Jackson Ghostly Walkers.
The Main Gate will be located at the corner of 7th and Market. Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $30.00 the day of. Admission includes in and out privileges and entry into participating Gaslamp and East Village restaurants, bars and nightclubs. This includes food and drink specials as well as no cover charge privileges throughout the night. A VIP package is available for $65.00 online and $70.00 at the event gates.
Some of the participating establishments include: ALTITUDE Sky Lounge, Patrick’s II, East Village Tavern + Bowl, Gaslamp Tavern, Whiskey Girl, Trattoria La Bocca, The Grape, Hard Rock Café and many more. The VIP Package includes additional privileges and free drink offers from Stingaree, The Merk, Thin, The Bitter End and several others.
If you get a little crazy at the Monster Bash, be sure to take advantage of the free Designated Driver shuttle service that will be offered from 9pm to 1am. Shuttles will be located at the main entrance and will deliver you home anywhere in the county, courtesy of Monster Energy Drinks.
